Wellness Concepts Synopsis Skyler Coryell This class is a very good class for someone who doesn't know a whole lot about themselves or their bodies and wants to try to improve themselves. This class is also a good class for anyone who is just wanting to learn about the body and some of the things that affect the body in a positive and negative way. There are a lot of things that you wouldn't expect to affect the body or your health, but they are there and a lot of people put these things inside of themselves without thinking about it. In this class I learned a lot about the human body, it made me look at myself and the choices I make differently, and I have a lot of suggestions for myself on how to better myself for the future. In this class I learned a whole lot about the human body and things that can cause harm to it and things that can make it better and help you health as well. I learned that if you don't get enough sleep and continue to deprive yourself because you think something else is more important than getting the sleep that you need for your health. If you don't get enough sleep it will cause harm to not only your health but it will cause harm to your mental health and make you less proactive about doing things which can be a big factor into things. I also learned that having unprotected sex is very risky and something that should never happen unless you're trying to have kids. I say this because not only is there the chance of getting pregnant but there is the chance of getting an STI. There are a lot more STIs than what people think and you can get them in various ways other than sex, but sex is one of the most common ways people get these type of things. I also learned alcohol is not on ly bad for your health but it can lead to unprotected sex which can lead to these STIs and then ultimately lead to very bad health and having a lot of health issues. Alcohol is one of the most destructive things someone can put into their body on a daily basis considering all the things it does to you and all the harm it can cause to other people and your state of mind. This class made me look at myself in the mirror because some of the things it talked about that can lead to bad health and such I do and I need to stop doing. I don't get enough sleep at night on a lot of the nights because I procrastinate and then stay up late doing my homework or such and then I wake up early because I have to go to class the next day. Being tired because of not getting sleep leads to me being lazy and not wanting to do anything with my day and that isn't good for me because I am a baseball player and I need to go to the gym to workout and a lot of the days it is a drag because of the sleep that I get at night. I have also started to not eat as healthy ever since I got to college in the fall and that's because I have nothing to do and I can't cook so I go out and buy things that I want and not things that I need and I eat those things when I shouldn't and this has caused some weight gain. But ever since I started taking this class I stopped those habits and I am back on the right track. Some suggestions that I have for myself to better my future is that I need to continue to go to the gym to better my health adn stay in shape. Doing this will not only make me feel great and make me look great, but it will actually help my body in what it needs and help my health be the best that it can be. Another suggestion I have is that I need to continue
